Steve Nash is employed by the City of Parkland in Broward County, Florida as the Public Services Operations Manager. He received his Natural Areas Management Certificate in December, 2002. His primary responsibilities include managing the daily activities of the City’s Streets, Stormwater, Landscape, Athletic Field, Facility Maintenance, and Fleet operations. Additional responsibilities include emergency management, project management, and significant interaction with other government agencies, contractors, vendors, and the public.
Steve’s experience and training includes 16 years in horticulture and arboriculture, with 5 of those as owner of a design/build landscape contracting firm and 7 as an urban forester, natural areas manager, and landscape inspector. Prior experience includes 13 years working in all aspects of South Florida limestone quarrying/mining operations, including land reclamation and mitigation activities. Steve is currently certified as an arborist, horticultural professional, landscape inspector, stormwater management inspector, and has a degree in Landscape Technology.
