Basic Certified Wildland Fire Training
This workshop is NOT part of the Certificate in Natural Areas Management series.
National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Certified Courses
(I-100, S-130, S-190, L-180)Basic Firefighter Training prepares the individual to participate on wildland fire management/fire suppression activities as a Firefighter Type II qualified fire crew.
Date: August 10-14, 2009 (Registration deadline is July 24, 2009)
Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. with one hour for lunch dailyLocation: University of Florida Campus (Gainesville) & Ordway-Swisher Biological Station (Melrose)

Requirements:
● Students must have a pair of 6” or higher leather boots and leather gloves.
● Provide own lunch (lunch is provided on the day of the live fire exercise).
● Must be able to provide own transportation to OSBS in Melrose (only one day).
● Students must complete I-100 online course prior to August 10 (http://training.nwcg.gov/courses/i100.html).If the I-100 online course prompts you to list a course administrator please type in Zach Prusak, zprusak@tnc.org, 407-682-3664.
